Kicking Trees

Why do we do the same things as others without thinking?

Good question, reminds me of when I was on a very busy mainstreet and sitting on the passenger side. And I was thinking to myself, if I was driving, I would take a side street.

It deffinately helps to be aware of different things and do things consciously

the point of the movie is a little disapointing, but the message (and the wig) is awesome :)

oh and we do the same things as others without thinking because our tendency is to conserve energy and thinking for ourselves requires way too much energy!
we're lazy!

I know...I dont like calling attention to myself..
That might have something to do with it..

Now if you'd let me get on with my tree kicking...thank u..

I have to agree with anonym00kie that the point is disappointing but yes it is an awesome message. In life this is the way ppl handle things by copying others, not that many original ppl out there.

Who knew that a man could look like Pippi Longstocking.

OK, I really didn't go for that video.

But back to your question -- do you want the 2-hour or 4-week social psychology course?

My on-one-foot answer: We were programmed that way by the kind and loving G-d. It is a fact of life. I am too tired to go any deeper than that in writing although my head is already spinning on...

kvnsm27 - yep, it does.

mooks - yeah, i know. the beginning is so great, and then it gets to the burger part, and you're left wondering...
cuz they all go off and follow the guy instead of kicking trees, which is basically just doing the same thing they were doing before...

david - far as i can tell, you're anything BUT a tree kicker. go and eat your burger, and leave the tree kicking to others...

swfm - i didn't make the movie myself. could've told them a thing or two...

jack - i believe it's the first time you've posted here. welcome!
the face is a little off... :P

basmelech - as written above, i only liked the beginning... but still felt it was worth posting...
and though we may, by natural instinct, follow the crowd, it's not "programmed" into us. G-d gave us the ability to change, to think, and to choose our own direction.

lol I knew that much, of course you didn't make it yourself, if you did it would have been a really cool dreamy video:)

nah, my video making skills are not that good. it would've been a shaken up view of th floor and the sky. maybe a few feet thrown in for good measure.

By programmed, I meant that it is the natural instinct. What did you think I was saying? Every human has the ability to change, but there are certain patterns that are set as "default" until the person makes his or her changes.
