Hey Brother!

Hey, brother!
We haven't spoken for a while.
Well, maybe just a hello
Here and there,
But nothing like what we used to.

Remember Friday nights
When everyone else went to sleep
While we stayed up and chatted?
I miss those Friday nights.

Remember those school nights
When you'd be coming up from the basement
While I'd be coming down for a drink
And we'd sit at the kitchen table
And just talk about anything?
I miss those school nights.

Remember when you left for yeshiva
And though I couldn't see you much anymore
We'd still make the time for each other
Shmoozing on the phone
On each Friday morn
Wishing each other a wonderful Shabbos?
I miss those phone calls.

Lately, we just have not spoken.
You called me yesterday
And I put you on hold
And then you put me on hold
And then we were disconnected.
And I just couldn't get through again
To tell you just how much
I love you.

I sometimes reminisce about when my siblings and I were kids. On shabbos afternoon, we played monopoly. And in more recent years my broter and I would go places. But now we see each other once in a while.

Wow. Very powerful.
My brother and I have been avoiding each other lately, but I'm thinking of giving him a call now...
Oh, and Dreamer, your e mail is on the way. I didn't forget...

the best way to show him you love him is to bake cookies and send them to him for shavuos. that's what my sisters do, and it is awesome. trust me, he will appreciate it.

Do you read minds? It's scary how often you poems are thoughts that have gone through my mind at one point or another.

awesome baker? is there anything you aren't good at?
it really isn't fair though to flaunt your baking talent without any intention of demonstrating this delicious talent to your greater readership. unless i just wasnt invvited to the party?!

well..... atleast you can bake!
that would be great short story title,
'the cruel baker, who happens to not be so graceful on her feet. '

summary... story about a life-beaten baker who baked the tastiest treats in town, deliciousness wafting through the air. but wait, this baker cruelly displays her delicacies but wont let anyone taste them. one day she was walking through the town and stumbles, falling into the arms of a chivalrous cowboy who brought inner sweetness into her life. enabling her to share her goodies with the townspeople. spreading her cheer and joy.
mmmmm tasty baked goods, tasty storyline... you cant go wrong.
