G-d has the last laugh.
Here I am
about to marry
and thinking of the dancing
going for last fittings
purchasing accessories
shoes...
and all it takes
is one little slip
and I'm laid up
iced up
hopping about on one leg.
I'll be glad if I'm able to
walk down the aisle.
and i sure hope i'll be able to dance some.
and now it's up to mom
to finish the shopping
and packing
and my poor chosson is left
wondering what he can do
to make me more comfortable
but realizing that he can't.
guess we'll make the best of it
and laugh about it
in our old age.
till next time,
I remain
Dreamer.

hope you feel better soon.
Oh wow. How much longer do you have? I know of other girls who injured themselves right before the wedding, and they summoned up some inner strength and adrenaline and managed to have a good time! I hope you manage to do the same! Hatzlacha rabba and refuah shleimah!
Oh my goodness, refuah shelaimah b'karov!!! That must be so difficult and frustrating for you. I hope that a lot of R&R helps and you'll be feeling a lot better by the wedding!
Oh my goodness!! REFUAH SHLEIMA!!! I really hope you woke up this morning and found your leg feeling all better. Mazel tov, mazel tov!! May you be zoche to a wonderful, meaningful, calm wedding day..and a life full of happiness, health and all the brachos showered upon you ad meah veesrim.
LB - thanks
sis - about a week... amen.
scraps - me too.
halfshared - well, it aint all better, but slowly but surely...
amen.
I just realized that with all this talk about being able to dance at the wedding, we've forgotten about right now. How are you feeling right now?
i'm in pain, but better than i was yesterday. and 'm ever so antsy with this forced relaxation...
oy
hope u get better soon...
:-(
You sounded better on the phone, but I know you're kind of down. Would company help? (not like I'm available, but I could be... or at least you can come online one of these days; you know my office hours ;-) )
How are you feeling today?--I hope a little better.
May this be the only thing that mars this lovely simcha. Wishing u a refuah shelaima and hope that u are soon up and running again ... or should i say dancing ;). Sincerest mazal tov wishes, may be both be really happy together.
I hope you are feeling better! Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Can't wait to dance with you!
At peace -- You will be there?! Good grief, I'll spend the whole night wondering... :-P
This is crazy. Dreamer, you ought to just stuff all the bloggers on one table and let fate do the work... I'd kill you, but you're moving away so you're safe until I get used to being exposed...
My goodness.
After all this moaning, I got extra sleep the night before and brought a little shtick, preparing to entertain the poor, invalid kallah...
To all you concerned readers:
Dreamer danced up a storm at her wedding. And that's the last time she gets any sympathy from me. :-P
So glad to hear! Mazel tov again!! I wish I could have been there but I was totally thinking of you though last night...
