Any ideas for Yom Tov menus?
I'd love to try something new...

Used to...
When you're used to teaching
A desk job's uninviting
When you're used to speaking
A computer's not exciting
When you're used to teenagers
Adults seem quite the bore
When you're used to insanity
Silence is a chore
When you're used to one thing
Another's difficult to try
When you're trying to make money
You really don't ask why...

Getting Ready...
I'm washing the mushrooms
The onions I'm dicing
Not thinking about
The finger I'm slicing
The apples are peeled
The honey cake's baking
Not thinking about
The back that is aching
The corned beef is cooking
And so is the soup
Not thinking about
My messy back room
The potatoes are grated
I've spiced all the fish
Not thinking about
The shiur I've missed
The table is set now
The candles are lit
So different from last year
Life's changed quite a bit...

I'm back!
Hey y'all.
If you're still listening.
I finally got hooked up to the web, so I hope to start writing again on a regular basis. I kinda miss this place...
(though I am starting a new job, so I may be a bit on and off...)
See ya around!

LOL
Just a little funny story that occured about a month after my wedding...
My nephew (6 years of age) turns to my sister and plaintively says "Ma, the next baby we have, could we not keep?"
My sister was, quite obviously, taken aback and asked him why he would ask such a thing.
"Well, Tante Dreamer just got married and she doesn't have any kids yet, so could we give the next one to her?"
So generous, no?

Are You Okay?
The other day, a car hit mine. Baruch Hashem, my car sustained just a small, barely noticeable scratch.
It was raining, and I was going really slow, yet I couldn't stop. I swerved to avoid him, and thereby just missed hitting the front passenger door. Had I been travelling a little faster, there would have been a major accident.
Though he had pulled out of a spot parked the wrong way and drove across the lane straight into me, he still claimed that it was my fault; that I "came out of nowhere."
Then, truly from out of nowhere, came a tow truck with a photographer in tow. (Even before the police arrived!) Didn't bother to ask if I'm okay; didn't bother to say excuse me; he asked if I was filing, and when I replied in the negative, he zoomed off. (We spotted him a few minutes later, towing another car...)
My fellow Yid - I am truly disgusted. I know you have to earn a parnassa, but please! A little mentchlichkeit!

And the award goes to...
They all said
Brooklyn driving
was really bad.
Couldn't get worse.
Guess all haven't driven through
Lakewood.
